HAVEN exists for people who love food. These guidelines exist to make sure it stays that way for everyone.

1. Our Mission

HAVEN is a food-first social platform. It's built for people who care about what they eat — whether that's a perfect taco from a local truck, a beautifully plated tasting menu, or a home-cooked meal they're proud of. Our goal is to be the best place on the internet for food culture.

These guidelines exist to protect that. We want HAVEN to feel curated, honest, and safe — not noisy, toxic, or full of spam. Everyone on HAVEN is expected to contribute to that environment.

2. What Belongs on HAVEN

  • Honest food photos and reviews — good meals and bad ones
  • Restaurant recommendations and discoveries
  • Home cooking, recipes, and food moments
  • Genuine engagement — comments, likes, and shares that add value
  • Food-adjacent content: markets, food events, culinary travel

3. What Doesn't Belong

The following content and behaviors are not allowed on HAVEN and may result in removal or account suspension:

  • Content that has nothing to do with food or dining
  • Spam — repeated posts, fake reviews, or unsolicited promotions
  • Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of any user
  • Hate speech targeting any person or group
  • Misinformation presented as fact
  • Illegal content of any kind
  • Impersonating another person, business, or public figure
  • Coordinated inauthentic behavior — fake accounts, bot activity, or buying followers/likes

4. Content Rules

Photos

Post real photos of real food. We encourage honest photography — your meal doesn't need to look perfect. Heavily digitally altered images that misrepresent a dish or restaurant are not allowed.

Captions and Reviews

Share your honest opinion. You're allowed to post negative reviews — that's part of what makes HAVEN trustworthy. What's not allowed is fabricating experiences, targeting a business with coordinated fake negative reviews, or using reviews to harass.

Comments

Keep comments relevant and respectful. Constructive disagreement is fine. Personal attacks, slurs, and threats are not.

Scores

Food scores on HAVEN are personal and subjective. Rate honestly based on your own experience. Do not rate a restaurant or dish you haven't actually tried.

5. Account Rules

  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension is a permanent ban offense.
  • Real identity. You don't need to use your real name, but your account must represent a real person. Business accounts must represent a real business.
  • No impersonation. Don't create an account that impersonates another user, public figure, or business.
  • Age requirement. You must be at least 13 years old to use HAVEN.
  • Account security. You're responsible for your account. Don't share your password or allow others to post from your account.

6. Enforcement

When guidelines are violated, HAVEN may take the following actions depending on the severity and frequency:

  • Content removal — the specific post, comment, or review is removed
  • Warning — a notice is sent to the account with no other action
  • Temporary suspension — the account is restricted for a set period (typically 3–30 days)
  • Permanent ban — the account is permanently removed from HAVEN

Serious violations — including illegal content, severe harassment, or hate speech — may result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warning. We may also report illegal content to relevant authorities.

7. Reporting

If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the report button (the ··· menu on any post or profile) to flag it. Our moderation team reviews all reports.

Reports are confidential — the person you report will not be notified that you reported them.

False reporting — submitting reports you know to be dishonest — is itself a violation of these guidelines.

8. Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or your content was removed in error, you can appeal the decision. Visit our Appeal a Ban page for full instructions, or email us directly at appeals@havenlifestyle.app.

We review all appeals manually and respond within 5–7 business days.
